Meet the fleet: Ember, Cinder, Vulcan, Watchtower

Today we’re naming the system we’ve been building.

Ember is first off the ground: the compact scout that maps the fire and supports search-and-rescue before any other aircraft arrives.

Cinder is the multi-tool, formatted to enter structures through doorways and suppress fire from within, and to hunt spot fires alongside Vulcan in wildfire operations.

Vulcan leads with the fleet’s largest airframe, with a 16-liter suppressant capacity, killing the larger fires and drawing the containment lines that stop spread.

Watchtower is the fixed sentinel: a rotating sensor head mounted on the rooftops a community already owns, sweeping the horizon for the first signature of fire. It is an upgrade rather than a requirement. Where there is no Watchtower, AD.OS takes the same cue from CAL FIRE incident data or an ALERTCalifornia camera and the response runs identically.

Five to fifteen aircraft coordinate peer-to-peer, with no central controller, and one operator commands all of it through AD.OS. The fleet is in prototyping; specifications publish as flight test proves them, and flight footage films at the end of the year.
